7.4 Resources

An SWF movie can contain different kinds of embedded resources in addition to fonts. Multimedia resources that can be embedded are:

Images: Both JPEG and lossless (GIF/BMP/PNG) images can be embedded for use as vector fill styles
Sounds: Several popular sound formats including MP3 can be embedded for use as streaming audio, button sounds, scripted sounds and sounds that are started/stopped on a timeline
Video: Video resources can be embedded that can be placed directly onto a timeline and the play head manipulated.
