7.5 Button Symbols
A button symbol is a symbol that has four states: Up, Over, Down, and HitArea. Each state can contain one or more positioned symbols that are active (this normally means visible except in the case of the HitArea state) in the specified state. The interpretation of the states is as follows:
- HitArea
- The graphical state of the symbol defining the symbols that make up the area of the symbol in which the mouse is active.
- Up
- The graphical state of the symbol when the mouse is outside the HitArea of the Button.
- Over
- The graphical state of the symbol when the mouse is over the HitArea of the Button.
- Down
- state is the graphical state of the symbol when the mouse is pressed over the HitArea of the Button.
